The Weaver & The Welder is traveling the world... and WOW, what a journey. I am in awe of the power of this book and its impact of readers worldwide. As I’ve been reflecting on creation, launch, and readership of W&W, I wanted to share why I shaped this book the way I did.
I approached it the way I used to approach curating an art exhibition — intentional, immersive, and experiential.
Each chapter stands alone, a short story, a glimpse, a moment (or moments) of being. Like a dream shifting from description and narrative to insight and intuition. Each chapter truly is its own world, like a single painting on the wall of a gallery. You could sit with a painting for hours, letting it speak to you, watching as brushstrokes reveal new meaning, and feeling the details ignite inspiration. And yet, when you step back and take in the full exhibit (or read the book cover to cover!) you begin to experience something more: a weaving, a conversation, an greater arc unfolding through connection, character, and evolution of being.

Subtlety is one of the strengths of this book, if the reader takes the time to notice the details, which are intentionally chosen and woven together. The threads of personal narrative interlace with spiritual and sacred wisdom. The details of a scene move directly into the shared field of consciousness as intuition lands. Like a potent and well curated exhibit, the book reveals itself not all at once, but layer by layer. If willing and curious the reader will even notice the evolution of tone and writing style from beginning to end.
