Whoa! It Is Eclipse Season 🌕✨

Did you hear? This weekend we have a Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse. The Full Moon will be in Aquarius (not Pisces—look up!). Aquarius holds the codes of winds of change, evolution, transformation for both the individual and the collective. When we experience the intensity of Aquarius, it can sometimes feel like a hurricane moving through. And also, with the winds of change, with the collective and individual evolution, we have an opportunity for massive transformation.

With the compounding energy of the Total Lunar Eclipse, this is magnified, this is intensified, this is amplified. So this is no easy Full Moon this weekend. This energy is going to shake things up, amplify the dissonance already taking place, and push us toward evolution, whether we are ready for it or not.

With that in mind, I suggest that you create spaces of ease. You create time to reflect. You simplify your schedule as much as possible to tend to your nervous system, to nurture yourself and those around you.

The eclipse season is always going to shake stuff up, but in particular, this Full Moon landing in the constellation of Aquarius, which is also where the North Node is, mirrors the oppositional chord of the North Node in Aquarius and the South Node in Leo. We have the Full Moon in Aquarius and the Sun in Leo. Those shared chords are really striking the energy of massive winds of change, illuminating fires, dissolution of the ego, and potential to shift into something new. However, these shifts are not going to be comfortable. And yet, change holds the promise of a future that is already coming. The shadow ultimately reveals the source of Light.

So be mindful with how you tend to your nervous system, how you interact with the greater community. Maybe this weekend, you give yourself a social media pause, a media pause. Maybe this weekend, you allow yourself to sleep in a little bit more. Maybe you take a long walk. Whatever it is, tend to your nervous system because this energy is no joke. It will shake stuff up.

The Full Moon portal is always three days. It starts on Saturday, September 6, it peaks on Sunday, September 7, and it will still be in a strong influence on Monday, September 8. The Full Moon itself peaks at 2:11 p.m. ET on September 7. The darkest shadow—the umbra—will last for 82 minutes from 1:30 p.m.–2:52 p.m. ET on the 7th. So be mindful of these three days of the Full Moon to tread lightly, to batten down the hatches, to make sure that you are taking care of you and yours.

And in the midst of all this, remember: gratitude can be found in the shadow.

The Total Lunar Eclipse is literally Gaia’s shadow on the Moon.

The shadow, the darkness, the hidden agendas—they are everywhere. They are permeating our collective energy. They are impacting how we are all navigating our co-created shared reality. If you can sit in the shadow, in the discomfort, in the spaces that feel crunchy and stagnant, and move into new spaces of gratitude for the darkness, you will uncover its hidden gifts. Gratitude can be found in the shadow. This is amplified even more with this Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse.

This is a time to not do much of anything. Simply be in the energy and allow yourself to receive. The intensity will be real. Amping things up on your own personal end will be counterproductive to receiving the necessary reset that is coming through these lunar waves. Tend to your nervous system. Rest. Reflect. Simplify. Say clearly: I do not consent to what is not mine.

If you are called to lunar ritual, be hypervigilant of your sacred space, your energetic boundaries, and that which you are consenting to. The veil of the shadow is potent, and what you open yourself to in this time matters. Be very clear, very intentional, and very protective of your space.

So find your footing. Find your grounding. Find your ease and your peace so that you can navigate the next 72 hours with grace. These next few days will test us, stretch us, and shake us, but they also hold the potential for profound transformation. Gratitude can be found in the shadow. Batten down the hatches. Take radical responsibility for what is yours. And trust that even in the darkness, you are being carried into the new.
